    In 2006, when Carolyn Berk lived in Athens, GA, she recorded a series of songs that would later become the basis of her 2009 album I Am The West. These songs are the beginnings of the shift from acoustic singer-songwriter to the blend of electronics, drums and guitar that are the background of Lovers current sound. Badman Recording Co. is releasing this collection of early recordings – which includes four previously unreleased tracks, on December 5th via digital download only. Singer Carolyn Berk reveals, "with this work, I basically took late-twenties heartbreak and chronicled it in the form of a catchy teen pop record." Four of the songs were never released and make their debut on I Was the East.

Dynamite Portland, OR band Starf*cker, went back to the studio to add some fresh touches to their 2009 mini-LP, Jupiter.  By the end of the sessions the band added on three tunes.

These additional tracks are ones that singer-founder Josh Hodges originally had placed in Jupiter’s song sequence a few years back.  The new tunes are Cemetery, Queen Latifah and Jamie.

This updated version of Jupiter now has 11 songs and new artwork.  It will soon be available on 180 gram vinyl and by download.  Jupiter (2012) is available through digital sites now and full album download features printable artwork via iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/s-r-jupiter/id472820051
